Want to get into running but can’t find the motivation? Look no further than the Miami Gay Run Club.
The LGBTQ-friendly club is open to all skill levels, from beginners to marathon runners. The group hosts casual runs every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Runners meet at SW corner of Lincoln Road and Bay Road each week for a group run. It’s a great opportunity to socialize and meet new people while staying active.
The club also utilizes a fitness app called Strava. The app is used to connect runners beyond their weekly group runs, creating a stronger sense of community. It helps to keep everyone in touch and accountable for achieving their fitness goals.
“We also use Strava to share our sweaty selfies, brag about our accomplishments, and cheer each other on, all while making new friends and having a blast,” the group’s website reads.
The club has 19 active members, according to its website.
The best part? It’s completely free to join.
