Florida doesn’t make things easy.
You want to stay active and socialize this summer, but the sun holds no mercy. That’s why signing up for an indoor sport will get you the best of both worlds, and HotMess Sports has you covered.
HotMess Sports Miami is hosting indoor volleyball this summer for anyone wanting to beat the heat.
HotMess Sports is a local LGBTQ-friendly organization that has provided sporting opportunities for 12 years.
If you’re interested in signing up for indoor volleyball but aren’t sure if it’s the right fit, HotMess is holding a free open play night on June 8, which is the same day registration closes.
It costs $54.95 to sign up for the season starting on June 22. Registration fees cover the team shirts, referees, end of season party and the championship trophy.
Teams will have a minimum of eight players, with six actively playing at a time. Games will be held on Sundays at 2:30 p.m. leading up to a tournament on Aug. 3, but no game will take place on July 6 due to the holiday weekend. All games will take place at Jose Marti Park Gymnasium.
If you’re ready to work up a sweat without feeling like you’re in the desert from “Dune,” start clearing your Sunday plans now.
