Get your running shoes on, because the Front Runners and Walkers of Fort Lauderdale (FRWFL) isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
The local LGBTQ-friendly running organization is hosting the Front Runners Love Wins 5K, a 3.1 mile race open to runners of all skills and identities. It's a way to celebrate South Florida’s rich diversity, the organization’s website reads.
The marathon, which is scheduled for May 3 at 7:30 a.m., will take runners through the Wilton Drive entertainment district.
“The race brings runners and walkers of all backgrounds and abilities together to stand united in a shared message of inclusion, kindness and love,” the FRWFL website reads. “Join us in Wilton Manors for this morning of racing, pride and connection.”
Those interested will be able to register right up until the race begins at Richardson Park.
Registration costs $40 plus a $3.90 signup fee, but top finishers can chip away at that cost with a potential cash prize.
