Still looking for weekend plans? Front Runners and Walkers of Fort Lauderdale (FRWFL) has you covered.
FRWFL is hosting the Love Wins 5K. The 3.1-mile marathon is set for this Sunday at 7:30 a.m., and will take runners through the Wilton Drive entertainment district.
Though race day is rapidly approaching, registration is still open. There will be shirts for the first 300 people to sign up, and medals for the first 300 racers to finish.
“The race brings runners and walkers of all backgrounds and abilities together to stand united in a shared message of inclusion, kindness and love,” the FRWFL website reads.
The race will begin at Richardson Park, located at 1937 Wilton Dr in Wilton Manors. Racers can sign up for the race for $40 plus a $3.90 registration fee.
If you’re looking for other opportunities with FRWFL, the group meets Wednesdays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m. for walks or runs. Visit FRWFL website for more information on weekly meet-ups.
