Scarlett St Clair is not only a multi-faceted author, but she is also the type of writer that has been one to heavily introduced readers to Romantasy. A genre that the author of the "Hades x Persephone" saga has represented with her novels and immersive characters.
St. Clair had gained a legion of fans in part thanks to #BookTok, with 61 million posts and billions of views on related hashtags for the author and her novels.
The literary trend has a hungry fan base, one that is always looking for new novels to enjoy. And being as how Scarlett is such a coveted author, fans will be happy to know that she has a lot more in the works for them to enjoy.
Her upcoming and new releases include "Apples Dipped in Gold," the second book in her Fairy Tale Retellings novella series. Afterwards, readers will be treated to her upcoming release, which is a first in an all-new series, called "Terror at the Gates." So, it’s time to mark those calendars to July 8, 2025, and get ready for a book that promises to have all the St. Clair writing flair.
“I’m excited to offer new stories to readers," said St. Clair. “I’m always happy to see that they want to read more books by me, and the now Romantasy genre has opened up so many doors for authors and readers looking for something new to enjoy in the world of romance and fantasy.”
When asked about reading in general, and how to foster a sense of community between readers, St. Clair was quick to mention that it’s all about enjoying what you love.
“I think that to foster a love of reading, you just need to read what you want and are curious about,” said St. Clair. “For example, the Romantasy genre has brought so many fans of the genre together, and while they connect online, they are also hoping to connect in real life.”
Recently, St. Clair and Eventbrite created an event called the Shadow Daddy Speakeasy. It’s no surprise that readers that are hungry to connect with each other when it comes to Romantasy books and to enjoy a mutual love for St. Clair.
The event has a hit, set within the chic and sultry ambiance of ABC Cocina in New York City. The pop-up event on Oct. 29 gave attendees a chance to live out their Romantasy fantasies.
Those who attended enjoyed live music, bespoke signature cocktails, tarot card readings, live readings and book signings of St. Clair’s new release, "Apples Dipped in Gold." The décor truly seemed to shine, with details of that seemed to jump right off the pages of the novel and fed into every reader’s fairy tale and royal fantasies.
“I’m hoping we can have more events like these in the future,” said St. Clair. “There’s nothing better than community, and to meet readers that connect through their love of reading the same type of books. It’s also so exciting to meet those readers that have found a connection with me and my books.”
