One of the greatest gifts of South Florida’s entertainment community is the extraordinary talent that surrounds us. Eric Restivo is one of those special performers whose talent, personality and genuine warmth make every room a little brighter.
Originally from Queens, New York, Eric’s career has taken him from the stages of New York to Los Angeles and West Hollywood, national productions and summer performances across the country, and ultimately to South Florida. His background encompasses musical theater, acting, singing, hosting, DJ work and live entertainment — making him a true multidimensional performer.
Since arriving in South Florida, Eric has become a familiar and much-loved presence throughout Wilton Manors.
I have watched him entertain audiences at some of our community’s most recognizable establishments. He sang incredibly and entertained guests at Tropics Bar & Grill, The Pub and numerous other venues, always bringing tremendous energy, professionalism and personality to the stage.
Eric has also hosted Dancing With the South Florida Stars in the most extraordinary way. Hosting a major community event requires much more than simply introducing performers. It takes timing, humor, spontaneity and the ability to connect with both the audience and the people on stage. Eric possesses those qualities naturally, and his contribution has helped make the event something truly special.
And now there is another opportunity to experience Eric locally.
Next Bar & Lounge presents “The Monday Mix,” starring Eric Restivo, from 7–9 p.m. every other Monday. It is a wonderful addition to Wilton Drive nightlife and another showcase for an entertainer who continues to reinvent himself while doing what he loves.
What I appreciate most about Eric, however, goes beyond the stage.
I am proud to consider Eric a dear friend. Behind the performer is someone who cares deeply about his friends, his community and the people around him. I also celebrate Eric and his partner Todd and the incredible relationship they share. Their partnership, friendship and commitment to one another are inspiring to those fortunate enough to know them.
Eric Restivo’s journey has traveled through New York, Los Angeles and stages across America, but today he is an important part of the fabric of our South Florida entertainment community.
