We’ve made it back to the Werk Room after an action packed lip sync between Briar Blush and Mandy Mango and the tension between the queens is instantaneous.
A brand-new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race has kicked off and its (to borrow a phrase direct from the RuPaul’s Drag Race cannon) it’s Florida vs The World! We have five queens from the Sunshine State competing in Season 18 and this season’s competition is filled with seasoned queens along with some newer ingenues here to make a splash (so far though, there is no Badonka Dunk Tank in sight).
She might have snagged the crown on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17, but now she’s stepping behind the microphone for the WOW Presents Plus show Hello Hello Hello!
ShaeShae LaReese truly defines what the phrase “drag excellence” means. From innumerable titles to now appearing on the new Amazon Prime show “Pageant Queens,” the newly minted Miss Florida F.I. Supreme still has her eye on one legendary title. I caught up with LaReese to talk about her own start in drag, the one title that still eludes her, and what it was like moving into a house with other drag legends for “Pageant Queens.”
Casting a television show around drag performers is becoming an art unto itself, but casting a show showcasing some of the biggest legends in the world of drag pageantry (and having them live together in a South Florida mansion) was truly one for the record books!
