Night Runners is hosting its sixth annual Pride 5K marathon on June 27. The hour-and-a-half race kicks off at 6:30 p.m., and will give walkers, runners or joggers the chance to enjoy a unique evening marathon.
“[It] will be an LGBTQ+ celebration that encompasses family fun and community unity through running and walking,” the Night Runners website reads.
The race will be held at 109 S Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. Participants will receive a limited-edition shirt and a finisher medal.
Registration costs $45, but prices will increase after June 6. If you can’t make it out that day, Night Runners is also giving racers an option to participate in a virtual race. You can record yourself running a 5K on June 27 or 28 and then upload your results. While you won’t be eligible for finisher awards, you’ll still receive a shirt and medal. Registration for the virtual 5K costs $35.
The night isn’t all about running, however. There will be plenty of opportunities to socialize from 5-8 p.m.during the Pride Showcase, which features food trucks and local business vendors.
