While engaging in the South Florida LGBTQ sports scene is a great way to socialize and stay active, sometimes it's nice to catch a breath –– and it’s even nicer when that break means sitting with friends old and new while watching “Wicked: For Good.”
Pride Sports Fort Lauderdale is hosting a “Wicked” toy drive, which involves a screening of the new film on Nov. 23 at AMC Coral Ridge. All attendees are required to bring an unwrapped and unopened toy.
The screening will take place at 5 p.m. and attendees are expected to arrive at 4:50 p.m. It’s free to reserve your spot as long as you bring a toy.
The first “Wicked,” which starred Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo as the iconic Glinda and Elphaba, grossed over $750 million at the global box office. The sequel takes audiences back to Oz and is a film adaptation of the second act of the Broadway play.
Grab a toy and enjoy the blockbuster film with the Pride Sports Fort Lauderdale community while supporting a good cause.
