Rainbow Sports League has a slew of other offerings for the community this fall.
Though registration for fall sports doesn’t open until Aug. 1, it’s the perfect time to mark your calendars for dodgeball or soccer –– or both.
Soccer kicks off (pun intended) on Sept. 23, with 7v7 matches held at Mills Pond Football Fields. Games take place weekly on Wednesdays at 7 and 8 p.m. Signups are available until Sept. 28. Teams will consist of 10-15 players each, with seven on the court.
If throwing is more your speed, sign up for dodgeball with Rainbow Sports League by Oct. 4. The season begins Sept. 28, and games will occur weekly on Mondays from 7-8 p.m. through Nov. 16.
Games will take place between teams of 10. You can sign up as a free agent or with a team in mind.
Soccer registration costs $79, while dodgeball costs $69. Sign up as early as you can before a $10 late fee takes effect on Aug. 22.
If you can’t play a whole season, both leagues allow teams that are missing a player to draft a substitute player for $10. Though participation is circumstantial, it’s another way to get involved without overcommitting.
