The FAU Democrats will launch a unique initiative to support student voter turnout by offering free rides to the early voting location at Spanish River Library on Nov. 1.
For this single-day event, the FAU Dems will pick up students from the Student Union, allowing them to vote early and participate in the election process.
They’ve even rented a limousine for a few hours to make the voting experience accessible and memorable.
Students can RSVP in advance here to secure a ride and take part.
On Election Day, Nov. 5, FAU Dems are expanding their efforts by teaming up with FAU’s Night Owls golf cart service to provide free rides to the polling site at the basketball arena on the Boca Campus.
Students can hop on a Night Owls cart from any point on campus, eliminating transportation barriers and making it easy to reach the polls.
This initiative reflects the FAU Dems' commitment to empowering students to exercise their civic duty without logistical hurdles.
Students can RSVP in advance here.

Efforts like these are critical in encouraging young voter participation, which has surged recently. According to a study by the U.S. Census Bureau, young adult voter turnout increased by 79% between the 2014 and 2018 midterm elections, signaling a shift in political engagement among 18-to 29-year-olds. When young people vote, they bring unique perspectives and priorities to the ballot, often supporting issues like climate action, racial justice, and educational reform — issues particularly relevant to college communities.
As the election approaches, students have the opportunity to participate and make their voices heard. Voting is a way to express your values and priorities for the future. Each vote can shape policies that impact areas like education, healthcare, climate change, and social issues. Take advantage of your chance to influence the future — participate and make your voice count.
