Much of Central Florida is still clearing debris and drying out from hurricane Milton. Despite the billions of dollars in damage, Orlando’s Pride will go on as scheduled this weekend.

Come Out With Pride, the organization running the event, told OutSFL that, miraculously, they will be able to press forward.

“Yes, Come Out With Pride is a go,” Executive Director Tatiana Quiroga said. “Thankfully, we have not had to make any changes.”

Orlando holds its Pride in autumn in hopes of cooler temperatures than in June. A June Pride would also come on the heels of Gay Days and all the parties that go with it.

The party is Oct. 19 from noon until 10 p.m. at Lake Eola Park.
