The Golden Girls Kitchen Comes Home to Miami

Picture it, Miami 2023! The Golden Girls Kitchen, a dining experience based on the popular television series, has opened as a pop-up restaurant in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. The Golden Girls Kitchen whisks guests the moment they walk through the doors into the world of this endearing fan favorite. The experience jet sets fans back to the 1980s, transporting them into the world of their favorite golden girls. The restaurant, inspired by the iconic show, comes to Miami after experiencing massive success as a pop-up experience in Beverly Hills, New York City, San Francisco, and Chicago.

The Golden Girls Kitchen is a fast-casual restaurant with an emphasis on (you guessed it) desserts. Every ticket purchase includes a reserved seat, a guaranteed window of time to dine, a choice of entree, and, of course, cheesecake, all served by a lovable Shady Pines waiter. The menu invites guests to nosh on the likes of Sophia's Lasagna Al Forno, plus other menu items such as The Lanai: a Cuban sandwich, Blanche's Georgia-style cookie, and the bacon lettuce potato sandwich, with many vegetarian and vegan options. Perhaps most importantly, there will be cheesecake in a variety of flavors. If you want to upgrade your dessert, try the Spierheoven Krispies, which includes strawberry cheesecake and chocolate ice cream. A drag brunch featuring top local performers will also be featured.

Additionally, the pop-up will come complete with a variety of iconic photo moments for fans to play in the world of Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia. Cozy up to the kitchen table, grab some sun on the lanai, or step into Blanche’s boudoir (Why not? Everyone else has!) Take a spin through Shady Pines on your way to the gift shop, no layover in St. Olaf required, featuring a range of brand-new Golden Girls merchandise.

The concept is the brainchild of Bucket Listers, the fast-growing brand behind the popular Miami Bucket List known for nostalgic pop-up phenomena such as Saved by the Max, Good Burger, The Malibu Barbie Café, and The Family Guy Experience. Tickets for the restaurant are $34 for a standard meal, plus a 20% gratuity added to the check, Tables may be booked for groups of 2-8. Larger parties should contact the organizers for accommodation. There are also late-night adult-only events with cocktails. Tickets are available at BucketListers.com.
