The South Beach Seafood Festival returns Oct. 22-25, with the introduction of an all-new two-night dinner series, "An Evening in Miami Beach.”

From curated pairing-dinners to high-energy showdowns to beachside bites, this year’s festival promises to be an epic feast fit for seafood lovers from near and far. “Experience Miami Beach” kicks off with exclusive dinners at top culinary hotspots Carbone and Mimi Chinese, on Wednesday, Oct. 22, where guests will enjoy unforgettable four or five-course meals. Part two continues the following day, with a trio of options, multi-course pairing-dinners at Rao’s, Pubbelly, and Catch. Each evening includes pairings of fine wine and crafted cocktails.

“Tequila Herradura’s Vip Chef Showdown” returns on Friday, Oct. 24. This fan-favorite has Miami’s top chefs face off live on the Culinary Pavilion stage in ten thrilling seafood battles, with guests tasting each dish and voting to crown the champion. Then, for the festival’s grand finale on Saturday, Oct. 25, it’s the “Seafood Slam”, a full-day, all-inclusive beachfront celebration. Guests enjoy unlimited food and beverage tastings while sampling seafood creations from South Florida’s top restaurants, competing for the “Best of the Fest” title. Once on This Island

One of Wilton Manor’s most popular events turns 20 this year! No, it’s not Mark Hunter’s birthday; Taste of the Island celebrates 20 years on Monday, Nov. 17!

Richardson Park will again serve as the location. So far, the organizers have registered more than 50 food and drink vendors, and they expect more to come aboard in the next few weeks. Guests have the chance to win over 10 raffle prizes with Taste’s “Passport Challenge.” Visit each vendor and get your passport stamped to be entered in a drawing. The event is from 6-9 p.m. for the general admission ticket holders. Pricing is $65 until Oct. 31. $75 from Nov. 1 to the 16, and $85 on the day of the event. VIP ticket holders get access to the park 30 minutes early and have access throughout the evening to the air-conditioned Manor House and three comped drinks from a VIP bar.  VIP tickets are $125 until Nov. 16, and $150 on the day of the event. Tickets and vendor information can be found at tasteoftheisland.org.

Oh Yeah, There’s Food, Too

One of the most glamorous events of the season, The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida’s (GMCSF) Chic & Unique Ball, steps into the world of Burlesque for the theme of this year’s party on Nov. 1, in The Grand Ballroom at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel.

The fiercest fundraiser of the year is back, ready to slay with tease, sparkle, and heart. GMCSF invites you to Step Into Burlesque, a night of high glamour and cheeky surprises. This is Burlesque, darling! Make it stunning! Dress boldly! Remember, honey, high heels lead to high bids. The Chic & Unique Ball is a night to dazzle and bedazzle.

The evening supports GMCSF’s mission to uplift LGBTQ voices through song. Tickets are $300 to $500 for VIP tickets. VIP tickets offer exclusive perks, including private performances, VIP-only bars, early access to the auction, and a premium dinner experience. Premium Admissions begin at 6:30 p.m., featuring cocktails, dinner, and entertainment.

All guests will enjoy a live auction, a silent auction, a Golden Ticket drawing, and an amplified after-party. Prepare to be wowed by the décor and the outfits and to bid on luxury trips from Brand g Vacations, Impact Encounters Luxury Tours, and more!
