The South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO), led by Maestra Sebrina María Alfonso, is offering a season featuring five classical Masterworks concerts and Handel’s glorious holiday masterpiece Messiah, as well as SFSO premieres by trailblazing female composers Florence Price, Ellen Taaffe Zwilich and Jessie Montgomery. SFSO will also host a 200th anniversary celebration of Beethoven's magnificent Symphony No. 9.

At just 22 years old, Joanna Sternberg is an old soul. Most of the songs on their new album “I’ve Got Me” (Fat Possum), come from a bare-bones folk tradition, performed by Sternberg on guitar, piano and keys, violin, and bass.
Is there anything more exhilarating than experiencing the creative growth of an artist you admire? Becca Mancari is such a perfect illustration of that. Over the course of three albums, including the modern Americana of their 2017 debut album “Good Woman” to the daring and haunting experimentation of the follow-up, 2020’s “The Greatest Part,” Mancari proved themself to be a musician who took risks.
Anyone who has been following queer singer/songwriter Caroline Rose since her independently released 2010 debut album “I Will Not Be Afraid” through her latest, 2023’s “The Art of Forgetting” (New West) knows that she’s comfortable slipping in and out of genres.
Greatest Hits — the new concept LP from Wilton Manors based artist — is not a frivolous pop record. It is a dark comedy covering heavy life issues, forged over the last few years during a great societal shift around the globe and in the USA.
Joy. There have been a lot of emotions around Pride month this year, but joy has been the most fleeting. Over the weekend of June 24-25, the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida (GMCSF) raised their voices and our spirits with their landmark Disney Pride In Concert at The Parker.
