South Florida’s queer film festival, OUTshine, was chosen as the best nonprofit in Miami-Dade.
The festival highlights local talent in South Florida, from actors to directors to producers. South Florida filmmakers and actors highlighted included Dirk Kummer, Anna Oeller, Prashanth Vanchy and Isabel Cristina.
Each year, the festival screens films by and for the LGBTQ community. While this year’s event ended on Nov. 3, there’s still opportunities to sign up for a membership on OUTshine’s website.
Membership prices range from $90 to $245 depending on which tier you select.
Runner-up: TIE – Safe Schools South Florida/Pridelines
