Rudolph “Rudy” Galindo has been active in the Palm Beach LGBTQ community since he first moved to the area for a job with the city of West Palm Beach.
Previously, a tragic car accident that nearly took his life led Galindo to dedicate his time to others in his community. He currently serves as the Assistant Director of Leisure Services, as well as the LGBTQ+ Liaison, for the City of Lake Worth Beach.
In August 2023 Rudy returned to the Florida Recreation and Parks Association (FRPA) Annual State Conference to co-present a Training on Gender Identity and Gender Expression with Michael Riordan from Compass.
“I have been honored to work alongside such amazing leaders in the South Florida community,” said Galindo. “This type of work and advocacy takes the dedication and passion of many, and I am truly grateful for the emerging leaders I get to work with in South Florida … Let’s come together as a community, work together, and put voter registration at the forefront of all we do."
“Our strength lies in the power of our LGBTQ community and working together.”
