We’re getting our last look inside the campaigns for Wilton Manors mayor before the election. All three candidates, incumbent Scott Newton, Mike Sansevero, and Mark Beigay, have filed their third quarter financial reports and there are few things to look at.
Sansevero brought in $6,975, most of which is money he has loaned to his campaign. Only $225 is campaign contributions from supporters. He has told The Gazette that he is essentially self-funding. His advertising expenses were listed as $2,238.
The Newton campaign reports spending $7,960. Most of the money comes from local donors. His advertising expenses were listed as $2,301.
Other expenses include $6,677 to producers of campaign-branded merchandise. The campaign also spent $637 for a laptop.
Beigay’s campaign reports $50 in donations and $1,662 in loans the candidate made to his campaign. He spent $1,662, mostly on promotional materials.
He also reports $545 from in-kind donations for his August kick-off party from several corporations or franchisees.
For the entirety of the campaigns through Oct. 4, Sansevero reports bringing in $12,115 and spending $11,923. Newton reports bringing in $14,210 and spending $11,361. Beigay reports bringing in $2,180 and spending $2,030.
