Front Runners and Walkers of Fort Lauderdale are participating in a number of upcoming local events.
It is an LGBTQ-friendly running group that promotes inclusivity.
If you’re not looking to run with the organization, you can cheer them on at the Wilton Manors’ Island City Canoe Relay Race on May 17. You can watch the race along the river or meet participants at the finish line in Richardson Park. Free barbecue will be provided.
The Front Runners and Walkers of Fort Lauderdale Triathlon Team is participating in the 305 Triathlon in Key Biscayne, Miami, which you can register for on the race’s website. The race starts at 7 a.m.
Looking for something more frequent? The Front Runners and Walkers of Fort Lauderdale meet for weekly runs every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale. They also meet every Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at Galleria Mall, and every Sunday at 6 p.m. at Pride center in Wilton Manors. You can choose to run 3, 4 or 6 miles.
