If you’re looking to join an athletic club to meet new people but are a little too shy to take the leap, this weekend might be a strong first step into ripping off the band-aid.

Front Runners and Walkers of Fort Lauderdale, an LGBTQ-friendly running club, is hosting a Pride pool party and participating in a Pride glow parade on June 14.

The pool party starts at 3 p.m. and is being held at 301 NE 26 St. Wilton Manors. There will be food and soft drinks to enjoy, but the party has a BYOB policy if you want something stronger.

From there, guests will leave the party at 6:30 to prepare for the night parade at 8 p.m. The Stonewall Pride Parade is a part of Wilton Manors’ Pride festivities, and will feature illuminated floats and walking groups. To walk in the parade, you must purchase a $10 ticket at tickettailor.com.

The fun doesn’t stop there –– join the Front Runners for an after-party at LIT Bar.

If you enjoyed the day and want to get active with the group, Front Runners hosts weekly runs on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays for runners of varying skill levels.
