Adult film star Tim Kruger has died following an accident at his home. He was 44.
Kruger, whose legal name is Marcel Bonn, is best known in the industry for creating Tim Tales, a popular gay porn website.
A statement released by Kruger’s partner asked for privacy during the grieving process.
“I am very aware of the stigma that surrounds deaths in the porn industry, so let me make this very clear to hopefully cut down on the inevitable speculation: Tim’s death was a tragic, yet simple accident at home. There were no drugs involved, nor was there any indication of foul play,” read the statement, widely believed to have been written by Kruger’s partner of more than 20 years, Grobes Geraet.
A 6-foot ginger from Germany, Kruger was almost exclusively a top on film and known for being well-endowed. He created content on several sites and offered subscriptions on OnlyFans to casual stuff shot on his mobile phone.
“While it might seem silly to some to mourn the death of a porn star, these men often risk personal shaming and other career pathways to give viewers pleasure and to even help provide some sexual awakening or a broadening of fantasies that can truly be liberating and transformative,” wrote LGBTQ journalist Daniel Villarreal. “Also, viewers get to see porn performers in one of the most intimate, private and primal human acts that requires a large amount of bravery and vulnerability to commit.”
