Clear your calendar and bring your flair — Delray Beach is rolling out the rainbow carpet for a day celebrating love in all forms.
From 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, NE 2nd Ave between E. Atlantic Ave and NE 2nd Street will host a festival featuring vendors, food, and live entertainment.
After the festival, a concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. featuring "The Little Things Duo" and "Lovestory – Tribute to Taylor Swift.” The gates for the concert will open at 6:30 p.m. at the Old School Square Amphitheatre.
According to the Delray Beach Downtown Authority, “The Little Things Duo” is characterized by “a confident melody line supported by scintillating harmonies, which is the rock-solid core of The Little Things' music. Their particular dash of wit separates them from other ukulele duos.”
“Lovestory – Tribute to Taylor Swift” will be performed by Rikki Lee Wilson, who “embodies an unforgettable performance that mirrors the essence of Taylor Swift herself. Backed by an exceptional band, every moment of the show radiates with authenticity, ensuring a riveting experience for attendees of all ages. Rikki possesses an uncanny resemblance to Taylor Swift, captivating Swifties at every performance, and transporting them back to the exhilarating atmosphere of a Taylor Swift concert,” according to the Delray Beach Downtown Authority.
June 8 will also feature the unveiling of the repainted Pride flag at the intersection in Pineapple Grove. This intersection was burned out by 19-year-old Dylan Brewer on Feb. 4, as reported by OutSFL.
