Born and raised in Fort Myers, Miles Davis has built a career out of turning policy into people power.
At both of his leadership roles at LGBTQ nonprofits, he leads efforts to protect LGBTQ Floridians from harmful legislation by training community members, mobilizing public comment, and showing up wherever decisions are made, from school boards to county commissions.
A former chief of staff in both chambers of the Florida Legislature, Davis brings political savvy and grassroots grit to the fight for liberation.
“Policy is personal because behind every single law [...] is someone’s right to exist and to learn safely and to love who they love,” Davis said.
He’s also launching PRISM’s new School Policy Hub, a go-to resource for navigating Florida’s anti-LGBTQ education laws. His approach to organizing is grounded in care and connection.
Davis hasn’t given up on Florida — and he doesn’t want you to, either.
