Thanksgiving weekend won’t be as fun in South Florida this year. URGE Miami Thanksgiving Festival in Miami Beach is dialing back the vibe for 2025. They used social media to announce a “pause.”
“After thoughtful consideration, we’ve decided to pause Urge Festival in 2025. This comes from both the challenges facing our LGBTQ+ community in South Florida and our commitment to take the time to reimagine and elevate the URGE brand for the future.”
No specific reasons were given for the cancellation.
While the marquee event may be canceled (or paused), other high-profile events associated with the party are still on. Organizers say Friday night’s Raw XL, Saturday afternoon’s pool party, Saturday night’s Guapo, and Sunday night’s URGE party will happen.
Those who have bought festival passes should have been refunded already. URGE’s social posts and website do not appear to have a way to buy tickets to the individual events.
Organizers have not responded to requests for more details.
