Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of a new year in Judaism.

A longtime safe space for LGBT Jews, Congregation Etz Chaim is one of six nominees for Broward’s Best Spiritual Center in Out South Florida’s Your Choice Awards.

The other contenders are United Church of Christ Fort Lauderdale, St. Nicholas Episcopal, Church of the Holy Spirit Song, Center for Spiritual Living and Sunshine Cathedral MCC.
