After the sudden passing of Michael Connell, co-owner of Pub On the Drive, his friends, family, and community are preparing to celebrate his life.

A tribute service will take place at United Church of Christ (2501 NE 30th St., Fort Lauderdale) on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m.

At 3:30 p.m., people will gather at his beloved Pub On the Drive. In life, he supported local entertainment. The Pub is known for its aggressive programming of drag, music, and comedic entertainers. On Saturday, special guests will celebrate him.

In announcing the services, The Pub posted, “Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
