Craig Jungwirth has been sitting in jail for nine months and there’s no sign of him being released anytime soon. He was back in court June 23 for a procedural hearing. He’s scheduled to return July 21 and a date for a jury trial will likely be set then.
He is facing a felony aggravated stalking charge, accused of harassing a person. The state claims Jungwirth disrupted the victim’s professional life by booking phantom appointments on a scheduling site, as well as other forms of harassment.
Many in the community accuse him of harassing or menacing behavior, and he’s been accused of a string of violent crimes, including some against his family. However, there have been no convictions in those cases.
Jungwirth has allegedly threatened big community events, including Prides. Some accuse him of creating a bogus event that sounds similar to an actual event, and selling tickets.
Warrants have been issued for him, but he has generally been difficult to catch. He was arrested in February 2024 but was released on bond and skipped his court hearings. He was captured in Orange County in September and was transferred to Broward County, where he is being held.
