Craig Jungwirth has been arrested in Orange County, Fla. and is expected to be extradited back to Broward County soon. He was arrested Sept. 19.
Jungwirth (who was originally booked under the name Craig Junghwirth) is wanted on several warrants in Broward County. He was arrested this past spring, but was released on bond and never showed up to scheduled hearings.
His long history of arrests was the subject of an OutSFL exposé in February. Accusations have included violence against family members, scams including the creation of “mirror” events that look like actual events but are slightly different from the real deal, harassing community members, and making violent threats against large community events.
In a statement to OutSFL, Wilton Manors Police Chief Gary Blocker said, “Our investigators worked with local authorities in Orange County, Florida, to contact and arrest Craig Jungwirth on active warrants for his arrest. The warrants stemmed from a crime(s) committed in our jurisdiction.”
WMPD has been working on this case for more than a year, with Det. Haley Plante leading the charge to track and find Jungwirth. There have been several sightings in that time. One of those was when OutSFL reporter John Hayden was doing a ride along with an officer. Jungwirth was reported, but was gone.
“With Mr. Jungwirth's arrest, we look forward to working with our victim(s) and the State Attorney's Office in search of justice,” Blocker said.
This is a developing story and will be updated on OutSFL’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
