Join Grieco Ford of Fort Lauderdale and OUTSFL Newspaper & Magazine for two spectacular evenings dedicated to supporting LGBTQ college student scholarships.
On night one, contestants will vie for the title of Mizz OUTSFL.
For the second year, it will be a glittering evening of drag spectacle when Grieco Ford of Fort Lauderdale presents the Mizz OUTSFL Pageant 2025. Last year’s winner was drag superstar and former Miss Florida and Miss Continental Erika Norell.
The pageant will be held at the Aquaplex of Fort Lauderdale on Monday, May 19. Doors open at 5:15 with the Pageant beginning at 6 p.m. The cash and prize package is expected to surpass last year’s total of $30,000.
Founded in 2024 by OUTSFL Newspaper and Magazine, the Mizz OUTSFL Pageant is a fundraiser for LGBTQ college student scholarships. To be eligible to enter the pageant, contestants must demonstrate their commitment to LGBTQ advocacy, community service and volunteerism.
Night two celebrates the inaugural OUTSFL Pride Gala 2025.
What will undoubtedly become a staple on the South Florida social scene for years to come, the OUTSFL Pride Gala 2025 will be held on Thursday, May 22 at the Crystal Ballroom at the Venue in Wilton Manors. The festivities begin at 7 p.m.
“The OUTSFL Pride Gala and Mizz OUTSFL Pageant were created to support the educational aspirations of LGBTQ youth in South Florida. More than ever, it is critical that the LGBTQ community and its allies join forces and rally to protect our very futures. In the oppressive climate currently surrounding the LGBTQ community, it is imperative that our students be provided the necessary financial resources to assume their rightful places in college and university classrooms and, eventually assume their leadership roles in what will one day be a free and democratic society in the United States as envisioned by our founding fathers,” says OUTSFL CEO Justin Wyse.
Mizz OUTSFL 2024 Erika Norell will headline the Gala’s entertainment while OUTSFL’s Queen of Queens and Miss Florida FI Honorary Supreme 2024 Melissa St. John will serve as hostess for the evening.
The winner of the 2025 Mizz Out South Florida Pageant will be officially crowned at the gala and the Marsha P. Johnson award winner will also be announced along with the members of her majesty’s court.
