That was pretty much the vibe yesterday when I visited Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café with my husband Sebastian and one of my best friends, Sharma.
Located in Coral Gables, the café instantly feels bright and welcoming without trying too hard. The space mixes Parisian-inspired details with the kind of relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than planned. Between the chandeliers, coffee drinks, soft music, and plates constantly making their way out of the kitchen, the restaurant feels lively while still cozy enough to settle into for brunch or an afternoon coffee break.
What I really loved, though, was how much the menu offers beyond just dessert crêpes. Yes, the sweet options are gorgeous, and honestly hard to resist once you see them arriving at nearby tables, but the savory side of the menu deserves just as much attention. Sweet Paris has built a menu that feels fun without becoming overwhelming, balancing brunch favorites, salads, waffles, croffles, sandwiches, espresso drinks, milkshakes, and both sweet and savory crêpes in a way that makes the restaurant work for almost any mood.
We tried a mix of classic menu favorites alongside some of the newer seasonal offerings, and everything leaned into that playful café energy Sweet Paris does so well. The Birthday Cake Crepe and Birthday Cake Cloud Latte added colorful, fun twists to the menu for May, but they still fit naturally alongside the restaurant’s more classic staples. Meanwhile, longtime favorites like the Ham & Gruyère, Chicken Florentine, and Cookie Butter crêpes reminded me why people keep coming back here in the first place.
Sweet Paris understands presentation in a way that feels stylish without becoming intimidating. Every latte, crepe, and waffle somehow arrives looking like it belongs in a lifestyle magazine while still feeling approachable enough to dig into instead of just photographing.
What also makes the Coral Gables location stand out is the atmosphere around it. The area already encourages people to slow down a little, walk around, and enjoy the afternoon, and Sweet Paris fits naturally into that energy. You see couples sharing coffee, families ordering brunch, students studying with lattes, and friends catching up over dessert all in the same space. It feels casual but still polished enough to make the visit feel a little special.
At a time when so many restaurants focus entirely on aesthetics or trends, Sweet Paris manages to balance both atmosphere and comfort. It’s the kind of café that works whether you want a quick coffee, a full brunch outing, or just an excuse to order something sweet with people you enjoy spending time with.
