As Easter approaches, I find myself thinking about the power of new beginnings. Easter is the season when Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, a message of hope and renewal and a time when many people feel drawn to reconnect with their faith or to explore the possibility of finding a spiritual home.

On behalf of our parish family at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, I would like to warmly invite our neighbors throughout Fort Lauderdale to join us for our Easter services. 

Over the years, St. Mark’s has become more than simply a place where people gather for Sunday worship. It has become a spiritual home where people care for one another, celebrate life’s joys together, and support each other during difficult times.  A spirit of welcome defines our congregation. As rector, I am deeply grateful for the warmth and openness that our parish family shows to everyone who walks through our doors. 

Whether you are new to church, returning after time away, or simply curious about faith, you will find a place here. Our community includes longtime members of the neighborhood, people new to the area, families, singles, and those seeking connection and friendship. 

We are also proud to be a church that embraces members of the LGBTQ+ community and all who may have wondered whether there is a place for them in church life. If you have ever felt uncertain about where you belong, please know that you are welcome here. 

Easter is a beautiful time to visit. Our services are filled with music, flowers, celebration, and the joyful proclamation that life and hope are stronger than fear or despair.
