In every strong local community, there are professionals who quietly serve as anchors — individuals whose knowledge, consistency, and integrity help residents and small businesses move forward with confidence. In Wilton Manors, Sean P. McCoy has become one of those trusted figures, combining deep tax expertise with a genuine commitment to the people he serves.

Born in Alaska and later raised in Dallas, Texas, McCoy brings a broad life perspective and steady work ethic to his profession. He relocated to Wilton Manors in 2004, drawn by both opportunity and community. Over the past 25 years, he has dedicated his career to tax preparation, planning, and advisory services, building long-term client relationships grounded in trust and clarity.

McCoy’s professional path was shaped by meaningful partnerships and mentorship. From 2009 through 2017, he worked alongside respected tax professional Garth Lashbrook, refining his technical skills and client-service approach. After Lashbrook’s passing, McCoy continued the firm’s legacy of personalized service through a partnership with Garth’s son, Dean Lashbrook, from 2017 through 2025. When his partner retired last year, Sean stepped forward to purchase the business and relocate it to Wilton Manors in December 2025 — a move that reflects both entrepreneurial initiative and his long-standing dedication to the area.

Today, McCoy offers comprehensive services for individuals and small to medium-sized businesses. His practice includes individual and business tax preparation, partnership filings, estate and trust tax returns, payroll services, proactive tax planning, and practical business consulting. Clients appreciate his ability to translate complicated tax rules into understandable guidance, helping them make informed financial decisions rather than simply filing forms.

His credentials reinforce that expertise. McCoy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Taxation, both earned from Florida Atlantic University. He is also licensed as an Enrolled Agent with the IRS — a federally authorized tax specialist who can represent clients directly before the Internal Revenue Service when needed. This designation provides an added layer of assurance for clients who want knowledgeable, qualified representation.

McCoy’s office is located at 1749 NE 26th St, Suite E, Wilton Manors, FL 33305, where he is known for being accessible and present day-to-day — something increasingly rare in today’s fast-moving, automated world. Adding a personal and memorable touch to the environment is his pet umbrella cockatoo, Petey, who often keeps him company at the office and brings a bit of warmth and personality to client visits.

Professional yet approachable, highly qualified yet community-focused, McCoy represents the best of local small-business leadership — expertise delivered with care, and service powered by genuine dedication.
