Brévo Theatre will produce the South Florida premiere of “School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play” which transports audiences to 1986 at the prestigious Aburi Girls’ School in Ghana, where a group of ambitious high school girls compete for the coveted title of Miss Ghana. The show will run from Sept. 4-27 at the Hive Black Box Theater in Pompano Beach.
Paulina, the reigning queen bee, has her sights set on the Miss Universe pageant—until the arrival of Ericka, a confident American transfer student, disrupts the social hierarchy and captures the attention of the pageant recruiter and her classmates. Jocelyn Bioh’s acclaimed comedy comes direct from Broadway.
