We can sometimes be too Broward-centric and forget about all the wonderful events happening just to the north in Palm Beach County or to the south in Miami-Dade. Let’s take care of that right now. Here are some interesting events taking place just a short drive away.
NORTH
Palm Beach County
A Celebration of Pride 2026
Guest curated by Palm Beach Post Notables editor Krystian von Speidel, “Lost and Found: LGBTQIA+ Identity and Space in South Florida” explores how LGBT identity has been shaped publicly through headlines, advice columns, and media portrayals that often framed queer life through controversy, morality, and debate. The organizations featured in the exhibition emerged within that legacy and continue today to ensure LGBTQ individuals are seen and recognized on their own terms. The opening reception on June 10 is being held at the Palm Beach Historical Society, 300 N. Dixie, in West Palm Beach. Representatives from today’s LGBTQ organizations will be available, and guests will have the opportunity to engage directly with participating organizations, learn about their work, and reflect on the importance of creating spaces for advocacy, care, expression, and connection.
Drag Queens Galore
There’s no shortage of drag shows in Palm Beach, in addition to regular drag brunches at Roosters, catch some of these events: ‘Illusions, The Drag Queen Show West Palm Beach’ offers brunch and dinner shows at 2585 S. Military Trail in West Palm Beach. Or, you could enjoy “Afternoon Tea with the Girls,” offered by Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches on Saturday, June 27, from 3-5 p.m. with Lupita Hollywood, Ginger Monroe, and their butler. You’ll learn the history of afternoon tea and the proper etiquette for enjoying it, while nibbling on traditional finger sandwiches, homemade scones with cream and jam, and delicious petit fours. Lupita and Ginger entertain between courses.
Meanwhile, at The Kravis
