Gays Gone Wild! Returns

Was it really 20 years ago Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild! opened? I guess so, those twinks are now middle-aged, but preserved in celluloid at their lusty peak. Breaking Glass Pictures will re-release the cult favorite on March 3. The outrageous and unapologetically queer sequel is remembered for its stacked guest appearances by B-List celebs, and vivid time-capsule snapshot of late-2000s gay nightlife, celebrity, and sex-positive storytelling. The film doubles down on camp, comedy, and celebrity cameos, including RuPaul, Scott Thompson (Kids in the Hall), “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Willam Belli, Perez Hilton, and adult entertainment legends Michael Lucas and the late Colton Ford. The 2026 re-release invites longtime fans to revisit the film, available on all major streaming platforms on March 3.

Dance Like A Butterfly, Sting Like A Bee

Founded in 2006 by the late James Drayton, a former West Palm Beach city commissioner and strong advocate for equal rights and equality, the 20th Annual African American Film Festival (AAFF) returns to the Kravis Center Feb. 19 - 22. Curated by author and film scholar Dr. Terri Francis, Dance Like A Butterfly, Sting Like A Bee mixes immersive documentaries, recent romantic dramas, and classic movies spotlighting heroic stories that might have been overlooked as well as featuring the greatest dancers and athletes of all time. The festival lineup includes Muhammad Ali, The Greatest, Gridiron Diaspora: The Henry McDonald Story, Princess Tam Tam, Josephine Baker, Love & Basketball, Wade in the Water, He Got Game, and Stormy Weather. Stage Notes

Diva Alert!

The diva with the voice of an angel and the mouth of a truck driver, Amy Armstrong, makes a rare appearance at Sunshine Cathedral Center for the Performing Arts on March 21. Her patter is almost a stand-up comic act. She’s just naturally funny and really connects with an audience. Make it a point to see “Everybody’s Girl.” When she’s in town.

The Pink Nail Society’s second annual masquerade ball In Pink, hosted by Eric Restivo, takes place Feb. 26 at Hunters. Give prostate cancer the finger!

Sum People

Larry Buzzeo directs "The Sum of Us" at Empire Stage Feb. 27 through March 15. The play premiered in 1990 at the Cherry Lane Theatre in NYC and was later made into a film starring a young Russel Crowe. The story revolves around Harry, a widowed father, and his gay son Jeff. The play is a poignant exploration of love and acceptance, focusing on the relationship between a father and his gay son. Call 954-678-1496 or go to EmpireStage.com for tickets.

Jessica Channing’s Balls

Here’s a chance to play with Jessica Channing’s (bingo) balls and raise money for a worthy cause. Ms. Channing (if you’re nasty) will host a bingo fundraiser at Scandals as a benefit for the Sunshine Pride House on Feb. 24 at 8 p.m.

Dancing (and Singing) Queens

Get ready to sing, sparkle, and let your inner Dancing Queen out. The Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida is having a community sing-along, hosted by Phoenix Sanderson Endora, at Hunters on Saturday, March 7, from 3-5 p.m. You can expect ABBA anthems, playful contests, interactive games, and prizes.  Tickets are $15 and are available at bit.ly/community and benefit GMCSF. This should prime you for the chorus’ ABBA concert on March 20 at the Parker.
