She may be gray, but this box is seeing a lot of action. The Gray Box Theatre, opened and operated by the same folks behind HarmonyWaves, kicked off with a grand opening that was such a success that it had to be repeated the next night. Or, so I hear, I wasn’t actually invited.

There are many upcoming events of interest, such as Broadway is a Drag presents: “Death Becomes Her!” On Nov. 6, see South Florida's superstar queens take on the biggest and best of this outrageous new musical comedy. Starring local favorites Nicole Halliwell, Kahtya Tehnsion, Matthew Darren, Coco Lords, Tiara Love Dupree, Trinity Beat, and London Adour. There will also be a "pre-show to die for" with hits from “Wicked,” “Hairspray,” “Kinky Boots,” and “Gypsy!”

Next up is “An Evening With Andrew Keenan-Bolger” on Nov. 13. I’d rather spend a night with him, but an evening will do. He is best known for originating the roles of Crutchie in “Newsies” and Jesse Tuck in “Tuck Everlasting” on Broadway. His other Broadway credits include Robertson Ay in “Mary Poppins,” Jojo in “Seussical,” and Chip in “Beauty and the Beast.” He’ll be joined on stage by Emmy and Grammy winner John McDaniel.

The Bette Midler Tribute, “Bathhouse to Broadway,” on Nov. 22 and 23, has been called a captivating tribute to the legendary Bette Midler’s illustrious career. This dazzling celebration has been making waves with sold-out performances across South Florida venues. Audiences rave about the performances, describing it as a “funny and poignant experience,” “Bette Midler’s best performed by Shelley Keelor and company,” and “a perfect cabaret experience.” Immerse yourself in an unforgettable journey through her acclaimed career. The show includes some of her most iconic hits, such as “The Rose,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” and “Otto Titsling.” Featuring a dynamic blend of powerful songs and engaging stories, the performance stars the powerhouse talents of Shelley Keelor, Sabrina Lynn Gore, and Kristi Rose Mills, accompanied by a lively trio of musicians.

All of this is before we officially get into the holiday season. Go to graybox.theater for more information.
