Broadway star Nicholas Rodriguez will appear at The Gray Box Theater on June 26 in “Passing the Spotlight,” a benefit for Broadway Dreams.

He is perhaps best known for the role of Nick Chavez on ABC’s One Life to Live, for which he received the GLAAD Media Award. He will bring the magic of Broadway to an intimate setting, sharing songs and the spirit of mentorship in the benefit for Broadway Dreams, a non-profit dedicated to providing access, education, and mentorship to aspiring performers from all backgrounds.

Then, on Oct. 2, Broadway favorite and SiriusXM host Seth Rudetsky brings his acclaimed concert series to Wilton Manors for one unforgettable night, joined by Broadway powerhouse Mandy Gonzalez. STORK HONORS STONEWALL NATIONAL MUSEUM

Former Wilton Manors mayor and Storks founder, Jim Stork, has challenged the community to support The Stonewall National Museum, Library, and Archives (SNMLA) with a matching grant. In honor of the country’s 250th anniversary, Stork has pledged a $1,776 challenge, encouraging people across the nation to donate to the museum. The challenge grant was inspired by the success of SNMLA’s Friedrich von Steuben exhibit to remind everyone that LGBTQ+ History is American History, saying “This Pride, don’t just wear rainbows… stand tall with your institutions.”

“We are truly grateful for the support we have received this year, not just for von Steuben but that more and more people understand that what is protected by the museum, archives, and library is foundational to our community. {.…} “This challenge, brought to us by a wonderful long-time friend, is not only heartwarming but highlights why now is the perfect time to show your direct support. Institutions like Stonewall National Museum are under attack by both federal and state figures, and we need to stand united in the fight for the future of LGBTQ+ individuals everywhere,” said Robert Kesten, President and CEO of Stonewall National Museum.
