
Lindz Amer wanted to write a book that they wished they had when they were a child, so that's how "Hooray for She, He, Ze, and They!" came to be.

LGBTQ graphic (as in illustrated) memoirs are nothing new. But it took Alison Bechdel’s award-winning 2006 book, “Fun Home”, to bring the genre to mainstream audiences, thereby generating mass public appeal and appreciation.
