The Norton Museum of Art’s Reader’s Choice Award win is history in the making –– literally.
“An award such as this validates the work we've been doing for more than 80 years,” a spokesperson said. “We are proud to have inspired generations of art lovers.”
The Norton Museum of Art Collection features American, European, Contemporary and Chinese art and photography. It has grown to become Florida's largest art museum.
The museum offers free admission every Saturday to West Palm Beach residents, and free admission daily to Florida educators, active military and their families and veterans.
The museum said they pride themselves in trying to reach people that normally wouldn’t visit a museum.
“Each year, we bring in thousands of schoolchildren for tours and classes – we routinely hear from people now in their 80s that they remember coming here on school field trips.”
Runner-up: Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens
