Claudia Castillo knows art. So it’s not a surprise her shop on Wilton Drive won for Best Art Gallery.
"Thank you for all the community support that has helped us get to where we are,” she said. "Looking forward to 2024 and new surprises for our studio."
Castillo is a well known fixture in Wilton Manors helping to bring color into the city, with public art projects like the Rainbow Bridge, the manatee sculpture at Justin Flippen Park and painting the parking meters along the Drive.
"I’m feeling energized and inspired after returning from exhibiting at the 2023 Florence Biennale and so happy to be developing new and exciting pieces,” she said.
Castillo’s gallery also took runner-up in the Best Gift Store category.
Besides her own art, her gallery features other artists, jewelry, and home decor.
