Welcome home, G Girls.
G Girls of South Florida partied the night away at their new spot, Hideaway on 26. The group was founded by Karen Traynor who says she was looking for a way to bring South Florida’s lesbian community together.
“I started G Girls about three years ago to bring women together for events and travel,” she said during the party. Connected to Wilton Collective on NE 26th St., the venue is a partnership between Traynor and WC owner Julian Cavazos.
“He offered the event space to me and I said, ‘Okay, let’s try it.’”
She’s been looking for a space to bring people together. An average meeting space would not do. G Girls wants to be a group for mixers, professionals, entertainers, and more.
In their new space, Traynor says they will welcome all.
“It could be anything. It’s a safe place for everyone to enjoy.”
Hideaway on 26 will host more than the G Girls. Traynor wants birthday parties, divorce parties, men, trans, anyone who wants an inclusive place to hold their meetings and celebrations.
