Those near Wilton Manors will have the opportunity to enjoy a night of fine dining and entertainment, all while giving back to the community.

Undercover Santa is hosting its second annual Cabaret for a Cause, an event intended to raise funds to help support its mission of providing gifts, food and support to underserved Broward County families.

The evening event, which takes place on Oct. 12 from 6-10:30 p.m. at Tropics Grille, includes a four-course dinner and live acts from South Florida entertainers including drag and jazz performances.

“The money that we are raising goes to purchasing toys and groceries for families in need during the holiday season,” said a spokesperson for the organization. “We partner with the City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation division and counselors within the Broward County school system to identify families in need. So everything raised stays local to Broward County.”

Tickets cost $79.73 after tax, which covers a $20 donation to Undercover Santa, 20% gratuity for restaurant staff, a glass of champagne during cocktail hour and the aforementioned dinner.

"This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever, with a lineup of amazing performers and a fall-inspired menu that will delight all of our guests," said Bill Schultz, founder of Undercover Santa, and the Fort Lauderdale Police Chief. "Most importantly, the night will help provide much-needed resources to families in need across Broward County."

Guests will preselect their dinners when purchasing tickets. They will choose between a soup or salad for the first course and a pumpkin cheesecake mousse or a chocolate caramel cake for dessert.

The second course offers either bacon-wrapped scallops or maple bourbon chicken lollipops, while the third course gives guests four options, ranging from rosemary chicken to autumn pasta.

Once dinner is finished, the entertainment begins. The show will be hosted by pianist Rick Leonard and drag cabaret performer Miss Bouvèé.

Other performers include jazz musician Dre Acevedo, singer/songwriter LeNora Jaye and singer/songwriter Matthew Darren.

For those wanting to further indulge in the night, VIP Upgrade tickets are available. It costs $104.66 after tax and includes the guest’s choice of one bottle of house wine.
