They’re sexy, muscular, limber, and very friendly. Now they’re coming to South Florida.
The men of BROlesque, led by founder Lockhart Brownlie, are playing at Hunters Nightclub in Wilton Manors Jan. 22, 23, and 25 at 7 p.m. The all-male revue harkens back to the days when big, showy spectacles ruled clubs and many movies.
“I wanted to bring together gay fantasies,” Brownlie said. “There are so many adventures BROlesque can go on. I’m really excited, especially this year, to see how far I can take it.”
From sexy gyrations to towering, old school showgirl headdresses, the show has all the trappings of the genre, showing just enough skin to draw you in but maintaining the mystery of it all.
Brownlie says it’s all very moral and a showpiece for the entire LGBTQ community.
“I wanted to create a show that is of a high standard. It’s something you can come to and literally look at these gorgeous bodies and these men and their physiques and their talent. You can appreciate it and be proud that we have this in our community.”
The show is presented by HarmonyWaves and is free, but you must get a ticket online at tickettailor. Watch the interview with Brownlie and visit Instagram @outsfl for clips of Wednesday night’s show.
