Paris may be known as the City of Lights but experiencing it beside someone you love gives those lights an entirely different meaning.

During my recent trip with my husband, Sebastian, the NH Collection Paris Ponthieu Champs-Élysées became our home in the heart of the city. Located in the fashionable 8th Arrondissement, the four-star boutique hotel sits only a block from the Champs-Élysées and close to the Arc de Triomphe, Grand Palais, Petit Palais, designer boutiques, restaurants, and the Franklin D. Its location encouraged Sebastian and me to experience Paris on foot. With Metro Lines 1 and 9 only a short walk away, venturing farther across Paris was equally easy.

The moment I will remember most was seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night for the first time with Sebastian beside me. No photograph or movie scene can capture the emotion of watching it illuminate the Paris sky. It was romantic, surreal, and a reminder that some dreams are even more beautiful when they are shared.

On our final night, I enjoyed a glass of wine while Sebastian had a rum and Coke. We reminisced about everything we had seen, the miles we had walked, and how quickly the trip had become part of our story.

Paris gave us time to reconnect, explore, and breathe. The NH Collection Paris Ponthieu Champs-Élysées gave us an elegant and welcoming place at the center of it all, a home where each day began with possibility and ended with two very tired travelers feeling deeply grateful.
