A Coconut Grove Escape: Spa Days, Cabana Laughs, and a Ritz-Carlton Kind of Magic

There are weekends that feel like a reset, and then there are the ones that linger long after you’ve unpacked your bag.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami was the latter: a thoughtfully layered escape that blended ease, elegance, and just the right amount of sparkle.

From the moment I arrived that Sunday morning, early, excited, and ready to lean into every second, the tone was set.

My City View King room felt like a soft landing, bright and calming with just enough of Coconut Grove peeking in through the windows. It’s the kind of space that quietly tells you to slow down.

The spa was my first stop, and honestly, it felt like pressing pause on everything else. Wrapped in the softest robe, I stepped into a space that felt calm, intentional, and completely removed from the outside world.

My custom facial, using ESPA products, was tailored and soothing, with a gentle massage that made the whole experience feel like a reset.

And then, the prosecco, which was offered and waiting for me at the end. A small touch, but one that made the entire moment feel a little celebratory.

By the time I made it to the pool, the energy shifted into something brighter. My bestie Taylor joined me, and our UNA Vodka cabana day quickly turned into one of those moments you wish you could replay.

The UNA Frosés were light, refreshing, and perfect for the Miami sun. But the lychee mule? That was the standout.

It was UNA Vodka mixed with green tea, ginger beer, lime, and lychee juice, finished with just a hint of sea salt. It was crisp, slightly sweet, and honestly one of those cocktails you keep thinking about later.

We snacked from a beautifully presented tower of sweet and savory bites, played a few games, laughed way too much, and just enjoyed being there. It felt effortless.

Lunch at Isabelle’s Coconut Grove felt like a garden party you didn’t want to leave. The tartine tower was as it was delicious, and the cocktails were fresh, citrusy, and thoughtfully crafted.

Add in live music and that relaxed, sunlit setting, and it’s the kind of brunch that turns into an experience.

As the day turned into night, I headed to The Commodore for cocktails with my other bestie, Melissa. The vibe shifts here, more intimate, a little moodier, but just as inviting.

The drinks, infused with locally made chocolate, felt rich and layered without being too heavy.

Sitting there, drink in hand, I had one of those quiet moments where everything just feels right.

What makes a stay like this special isn’t just the luxury, it’s the feeling you leave with. Lighter. Happier. A little more present.

This wasn’t just a getaway. It was a reminder to slow down, to say yes to joy, and to hold onto moments like these just a little longer.
