When fans learned in early 2025 that Monica and Brandy would go on tour, the news was met with widespread excitement. That admiration was on full display as “The Boy is Mine” tour took a stop at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

In case you need a ‘90s refresher, Brandy and Monica sang on the Grammy-winning song “The Boy is Mine.” The song quickly cemented their position in the R&B/Soul history books forever and gave the LGBTQ community a fabulous song choice when doing drunk karaoke.

The opening act of the show was R&B singer Keyshia Cole. Kaseya arena was lit up as she sang some of her most recognizable fan favorites. Unfortunately, the sound became an issue, and her set was cut short. Being the true professional she is, she thanked the crowd and wished them a good night. In between performers, there was a DJ that amped up the crowd by playing throwback jams and memorable hits that the audience sang along to.

Kelly Rowland was next up to hit the stage. She performed her classic hit “Motivation” accompanied by her male backup dancers. Rowland surprised the crowd by bringing out “The Queen of Miami” rapper Trina. Together, they performed their duet “Here We Go.” Rowland entertained the crowd by treating them to hits from her solo catalog as well as the Destiny's Child catalog.

Before the two headliners graced the stage, a video intro played to build the anticipation of the fans. Brandy and Monica both sounded and looked spectacular as they performed their notable hits like “What about Us,” “Knock Knock,” “I Wanna Be Down,” and the street anthem, “So Gone.” There were several highlights of their set, but an easy breakout moment was when Brandy sang her Diane Warren-penned ballad “Have You Ever.” It was one of the most vocally pleasing sections of the show. Monica even made fun of the white sandals she wore in the video “Before You Walk Out Of My Life” as she performed the song.

That’s not it! Monica gave fans an early Christmas present. No one could have predicted that she would bring out rappers Sexy Red and Trick Daddy. Monica really caused a frenzy when she introduced multi-platinum selling girl group SWV on stage to sing their legendary hit “Weak.” Brandy and Monica brought fans to tears as they performed “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” which was a tribute to their mentor Whitney Houston. There were many songs sung, many special guests and several viral-worthy moments. However, fans waited with bated breath to hear them perform the song that brought the two together, "The Boy is Mine.” As the two closed the show, it gave fans a show that they had been waiting for decades to see. Thankfully, the ladies were able to not only put aside their differences, but they also made us totally forget who “the boy” really belonged to.
