Americans may be divided over Donald Trump’s second term in office, but OutSFL readers are not. In a recent survey, 90% said they do not approve of the job he’s doing as president. Only 8% approve, while 2% remain unsure or have no opinion.
“We The People of the LGBTQ+ World are expected to disappear. We The People of color and any non-GOP acceptable race are expected to be erased. We The People are returning to the Dark Ages. We The People are being bankrupted. We are being disgraced on the world stage,” one respondent wrote. “We are being controlled by a cabinet of fools—not a single one of which is even remotely qualified for their position. All this and more by one sick, out-of-control person. The GOP has willingly drunk the Kool-Aid!”
Nationally, Trump’s approval numbers are far more divided. According to the Real Clear Politics average, anywhere between 46% to 54% of Americans approve of his presidency, with an average of 50.6% disapproving.
“Democracy is being destroyed, and absolutely no one is doing anything about it—and the media is complicit,” another respondent wrote.
The OutSFL survey also asked readers how Trump’s policies have impacted them personally. About 83% said negatively, while just 6% said positively. Twenty percent said his policies had no impact on their lives.
A few readers did voice support for the president:
- “Trump is resetting the global order by prioritizing America and its citizens to ensure we have a free, safe community.”
- “Better than expected.”
- “A lot better than Biden, that’s for sure.”
