“Imagine Christmas village miniatures brought to life.” 

That’s how FLoatarama founder Scott Schramm is describing his holiday plans. And he wants you to join him.

FLoatarama is teaming up with SunServe for a holiday cruise along the Rhine River in Germany and visiting some of the most festive holiday markets in the world. They’ve booked an entire river cruise ship through Transcend Cruises.

The boat is small, and the atmosphere is intimate. With only 55 guest staterooms, you’ll be celebrating the holidays in a family-like atmosphere.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our donors, our families, and friends to do something very special. High end but also carefully curated,” SunServe CEO Tony Lima said.

The cruise runs Dec. 1-7, with the option of coming early for Cologne Bear Pride. Cruisers will fly in to Frankfurt and once you arrive, just about everything else is covered by the fare. That includes a private transfer from the airport, taxes, tips, and port fees. But Lima and Schramm say that’s just the beginning. Once on board, drinks, food, entertainment, excursions, and even Wi-Fi are included.

Experienced cruisers will tell you that food can be hit or miss on the massive cruise ships. But that’s not the case on this cruise. Celebrity chef Todd Erickson, who believes that food is art, is coming along.

“He’s going to curate the menu for our group,” Schramm said. “From the wines that he picks and liquor choices, everything is curated with his team and us.”

The entire experience is catered to the LGBTQ passengers. About 50% of the crew is LGBTQ, and an LGBTQ guide will be with the group in every port. There will be parties with top shelf entertainment every night.

A celebrity DJ from Munich will do a set. A cabaret troupe from the U.K. are coming along, as are three drag entertainers from Drag Race Europe.

“The service level on this ship, since it’s such an intimate experience, they’re really connecting with the clients on board,” Lima said.

Maiden Voyage

The two organizations teaming up to create an experience like this is a first. The week of holiday fun in Europe is also a chance to do good. Proceeds from the cruise will benefit LGBTQ youth in South Florida.

“We really believe in the community we serve,” Schramm said. FLoatarama raises funds for various organizations, including SunServe. They felt this is a great way to have fun, help the community, and engage with donors.

“This is the first time something like this is being done,” Lima said.
