OutSFL conducted a survey last week that showed readers are overwhelmingly supporting Vice President Kamala Harris for president.
The survey showed 91% of respondents supporting Harris, with 9% supporting former President Donald Trump.
On July 21, President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, quickly endorsing Harris for president. In just over 24 hours, she raised over $100 million, with that number growing to $200 million over the course of one week.
The survey asked two questions regarding the presidential race. The first gave five options: Kamala Harris; Donald Trump; Third Party; Undecided; and Won't Vote for President.
The survey showed 91% supporting Harris; 1% undecided, and 1% supporting a third party. Meanwhile, Trump received 7%. Zero respondents said they would not vote at all. In OutSFL’s last survey, when Biden was still in the race, those numbers showed 85% supporting Biden, 3% undecided, and 2% supporting a third party.
So it appears that some of the undecided voters and third party voters moved into the Harris camp, while Trump’s support held steady.
When the choice was narrowed to just Harris and Trump, Harris’ support remained at 91%, while Trump’s rose to 9%. Last week, those numbers were 90% for Biden and 10% for Trump.
Ninety-eight of the 406 responses were from people who said they lived in Wilton Manors.
The survey was conducted online via SurveyMonkey from July 23 to 29, with 406 respondents. The survey asked three questions: where the respondent lives; who they support, which included options for undecided, third party, and won’t vote; and the last question only gave two options: Harris or Trump.
