Craig Jungwirth Sentenced In Aggravated Assault Case | Watch

The latest chapter in the Craig Jungwirth saga has come to a close.

He pleaded no contest to aggravated stalking on Jan. 9. The judge sentenced him to four years of supervised mental health probation and is banned from contacting the victim through electronic means.

The deal is somewhat of a victory for Jungwirth. He avoided having to wear an electronic monitoring device, popularly referred to as an ankle bracelet, and his probation will be monitored over Zoom from Osceola County. At the beginning of the hearing he rejected a plea over the ankle bracelet requirement.

This case goes back to February of 2023. Jungwirth began harassing James Tyrcha, a local barber. He used Tyrcha’s online booking system to fill the calendar with fake appointments, costing Tyrcha thousands of dollars. Jungwirth avoided capture until spring of 2024 but then skipped bail. He was caught again in September of 2024 and has been in jail ever since.

Tyrcha was allowed to make a victim impact statement, in which he said “For over three years, until his arrest in 2024, he waged a campaign of terror that would break anyone.” He had never met Jungwirth, and believes he was targeted over a comment on social media.

Outside the courtroom, Tyrcha said he hopes this is the end of it, but has his doubts. “I’m sure when he breaks the judge’s orders and can’t help himself he will be going to prison.”

Jungwirth has a long history of accusations including violence against an elderly family member as well as electronic harassment and scamming people by creating and selling tickets to fake events that look like actual events. None of those accusations have led to convictions.

Jungwirth isn’t getting out of jail anytime soon. There is a warrant out for him in a civil case in Orange County, so he will eventually be transferred there. Details of that case are sealed.
